ABOUT ME
![]() I am a bilingual and bi-cultural in Spanish and English. I have lived both in the United States and Mexico for many years. I obtained my BA from Seattle University and my MA in clinical psychology from Argosy. Before going back to school to obtain my MA, I worked as an interpreter for over 16 years. I also have over 5 years of experience working at the Crisis Line listening to and helping people who were struggling with a variety of issues. I worked for many years as an interpreter I was able to observe and interact with many people that were struggling for a variety of issues and realized the importance of counseling. It was this reason that lead me to go back to school and obtain my masters in clinical psychology.
I worked over 5 years at the Crisis Line talking with people who were in crisis and I spent over 2 years working as a therapist at a community mental health clinic providing therapy with the chronically mentally ill. I currently volunteer as a researcher at the University of Washington in the Psychology department. For me it is very important to continue learning about counseling and psychology in order to better help my clients. |
